Yin and Yang

I love a balanced outfit – whether it’s through the colors, proportions, fabrics, etc. I feel good when an outfit just seems to balance itself out. And this is exactly how I felt about this particular outfit. I love the proportions, contrasts AND compliments of the black and white, but also the polka dots! Wearing the black tights with the black boots make my legs look so much longer too.

*I will also mention that a few years ago, I pledged to only buy new clothing if it was made in the USA. See original post HERE. And I have to be consciously clear that the top I am wearing in this post is the first piece of new clothing I have purchased that was not made in the USA since that pledge was made. Why? I’m a hard sucker for artist Yayoi Kusama and it was a collaboration with her. Do I feel great about it? No…but I will continue with this challenge. I will also add that this was my first and only new non-USA made purchase of clothing in 3 years! Every other piece of clothing was either second-hand or made in USA when new! My next step is to only purchase shoes made in non-Asian countries, wish me luck.
