In the midst of all the other billion museum posts, I run off to LA for a long weekend and visit yet another museum! I had to visit this Guillermo Del Toro exhibit, which proved to be the deliciously dark exhibit it promises! If you happen to find youself in the LA area, I would highly recommend visiting before it’s gone. GdT is an artist with a fantastic eye for the realm of film – so the exhibit was a beautiful blend of pieces from his movies, but also art that inspired it.
It was one of the more perfectly curated exhibits I had ever seen in my life! The pictures I took and share here, do the whole thing no justice – as I mostly only photographed the clothing and a few art pieces. But there was so much to see by so many different artists! All things bugs, steampunk, goth, horror, spooky, macabre, ghouls, torture, fear, nightmares, morbid, but with a twist of humor thrown in.
